To those that we support:
Some of you know us; others may have heard of us. Raider Air (RA) is the air wing of the Brothers in Arms Foundation. BIAF was started by Phil Noblin, an old school Marine Recon type who has been around helping those in the community since 2009.
RA specializes in moving folks after the proverbial shit has hit the fan. Most of our missions in the past were direct funeral support; however, in recent years, we have expanded to assist those wounded in action and those injured in training.
In order for us to be able to support you guys (and, more importantly, your families), we need the info to flow over to us as soon as possible. The sooner we have a heads-up of a possible need, the higher the likelihood of us being able to launch aircraft in support.
We understand operational security and the need for proper channels to make notifications; however, while these are being done, RA can be working in the background to support ahead of time. We can often prepare beforehand if we have some basic info immediately after an incident. Examples;
In short, we can do a lot. We just need time!
The short video on the link below covers only a portion of the missions Raider Air flew in the aftermath of the Kabul bombing during the summer of 2021. While this video depicts the CAT-2 Raider Air mission to support the families across the nation of those killed in action, for security reasons, it leaves out the CAT-1 missions Raider Air was tasked with (flying families directly to Dover Air Force Base for the Dignified Transfer of Remains).

We understand operational security and the need for proper channels to make notifications; however, while these are being done, RA can be working in the background to support ahead of time. We can often prepare beforehand if we have some basic info immediately after an incident. Examples;
- "One of our guys is injured and is in the hospital in X. His parents are from Boston, and his wife is on base" This simple info will enable us to start working on air assets to ensure the assigned lead casualty officer can get his family to him quickly without delay should the family choose to do so. RA will coordinate with the proper channels AFTER official notifications have been made.
- "We had a KIA (or in training), wife is on base, her parents are in Phoenix, his parents are in Dallas." RA starts working on air assets to ensure we can support the lead casualty officer and get the parents to the wife (or wife to them) etc. Again, RA will coordinate with the proper channels AFTER official notifications have been made.
In short, we can do a lot. We just need time!
